Nook’ is a four screen video installation which footage was shot on 16mm. Four couples enact in partly or wholly constructed spaces their ‘nook’, the unique way that they fit together. The concept is build from an observation of the ways that physical intimacy work between couples, into a meditation on the transitory nature of such intimacy.
In the room I shoed my work, I arranged one screen on the corner between two walls (so that the couple fitted together on the join of the two walls), and the others were arranged at various levels on two other walls. The music, instrumental and more sound patterning than music, is a constructed soundtrack made by me using sound samples.
